Eat well. Feel better.
“If we could give every individual the right amount of nourishment and exercise, not too little and not too much, we would have found the safest way to health” (Hippocrates 460 BC)
My journey to study Nutrition started in 2013 when my Dad was suffering from terminal cancer. I was his carer as my mum had passed away 2 years earlier. His nutrition was one of my main concerns. I was bringing up my own 3 children and feeding my family well, I hoped, but I couldn’t find the answers to support him. There was so much conflicting information on what he should eat. I decided at that time that I wanted to study nutrition, to learn more, to use that knowledge for myself and my family and to then pass it on to help others.
My goal is to support you to achieve your health goals as quickly as you want to. The body wants to heal itself naturally. Healthy nutritional balance supports this process. Even small dietary changes can have a profound effect on how you look, think, feel and act. Nutritional therapy is the application of nutritional science to promote health, performance and individual care.
Working as a qualified Solicitor for a top 10 UK law firm for over 15 years has given me experience at a high level in Business and the skills gained that I now bring to my clinics. An insight into how busy people need support. I live a full, busy and active professional, personal & family life. I have been able to work on and support my own health issues and am now in a position to share what I have learnt.
I hold a Diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition and Naturopathy from the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) having studied there for 3 years with over 200 clinic hours completed. I am a fully registered and Insured member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT), the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (ANP) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). In my clinics I adhere to the BANT strict codes of ethics and practice.
We are living longer. We all want to do that by feeling well. I want to share the tools to achieve that. We need to stop, reflect and give this area of our lives time if we are not feeling our best or if we feel that we want to work further to reach our own optimum health. If we look after our body it will take care of us. We all deserve the best nutrition for every step of our life journey working on our lifestage and lifestyle.

What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutritional science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. Nutritional Therapists are trained “Nutritionists” who use a wide range of tools to work with you to assess and identify what may be causing or contributing to your symptoms and health concerns.
Constipation / Diarrhoea
Period Pains / PMS
Anxiety / mood disorders
At NutriFi we will work with you to address your nutritional status and support you to find your optimum health balance.
Nutritional Therapy is Complementary medicine and is relevant to us all, especially when we are trying to identify the root cause of any concerns we have relating to our health and wellbeing. We are all unique. A “one size fits all” approach rarely works. The best diet / food plan for you is likely to be the one you are not on yet!
All of our body systems are interconnected. We are one. Nothing works in isolation. Finding and treating the root cause of any wellness issue is our aim rather than treating symptoms as and when they occur. Consistent small changes can bring about the greatest gains. It may feel difficult at first as nutrition always comes with homework but the increase in mood, digestion, energy levels and sleep that you will achieve will make the journey an enjoyable and enlightening one and one to sustain for life. It is about you deciding what the ultimate priority is for you, be it to improve your food choices, exercise, weight, sleep, social life, work/life balance or motivation. Every step you take towards your goal will take you closer to reaching it.
Nutritional Therapy is not a replacement for medical advice. We will always work with your GP or other healthcare provider and will always refer you back to your GP if you notify us of any health issue that we advise you requires further attention. We are happy to send your GP or other healthcare provider copies of the plans agreed with you if you wish us to do so with your consent.
NutriFi is a warm and welcoming Nutritional Therapy practice based in the Heatons Studio, Heaton Moor, Stockport.
We provide a range of services including individual consultations. We will work together to establish your goals and assess your medical history, the status of your body systems, your current nutritional status and lifestyle choices and conduct a review of your prescribed medication and supplements with a view to identifying the underlying cause of your health concerns. This is your opportunity to share your health story.
We will make dietary & lifestyle recommendations & where appropriate, recommendations for supplements or further clinical testing. We will give you practical tips on making healthier food choices in supermarkets & restaurants, recipe and meal planning ideas, lifestyle tips such as stress management & sleep techniques & provide literature you can refer to as you work with your fully personalised plan which will be emailed or posted to you within 2-5 days of your consultation.
